If you are as spontaneous as I am, you probably don’t make reservations when you want to visit a restaurant. As much as I eat out, I never think to do it because 9 times out of 10, the restaurant will only have a reservation slot for a time that I don’t want. Now that can be a bit disappointing when you’ve been eyeing restaurants like St. Cecelia and Kyma, which both are highly popular. So if you want to go, you either make reservations weeks in advance, or run the risk of a long wait. I was recently introduced to Table 8 which is an online and mobile app restaurant reservation service, who has partnered with the top restaurants in cities like Chicago, New York, L.A. and now Atlanta, to offer guaranteed reservations at the most sought after restaurants in the city at peak times, a few days in advance.
What you need to know
- There is a reservation fee, but only if you’re looking to book a reservation at times one isn’t available (peak times).
- If the reservation time you want is available, it is free to make the reservation.
- The app is free to download on your iPhone or Android, but you can also book online via the website.
- You can book reservations for parties of 2, 4 or 6 people.
- There’s also a reward program where if you invite friends they receive a $10 credit and you receive a $20 credit once they’ve purchased a reservation.
Check out more FAQ’s here.
What do you think about having the ability to book last-minute reservations? Would you use this service?
Until next time…Happy Eating!! xoxo -Milla
Next on our tour of great places to go after work is Saltyard.
Saltyard has also been one of Erica and I go to places after work lately, so it needed to be included on the list. Not only is the food amazing, they offer $5 glasses of house white or red wine and $1 oysters on the half shell for happy hour from 5p-7p Monday -Friday. Saltyard is located in the Brookwood area right off Peachtree St.
Saltyard serves their dishes more tapas style to encourage sharing and that also allows you to try more items. There’s a variety of small hot and cold plates and they offer just a few of what they call “biggie smalls” plates which are a bit larger.

You know how you’ve passed a restaurant a million times and every time you do, you think to yourself, “I need to try that place”, but you never do? Well finally I had my chance to try 10th and Piedmont . Literally located at the corner of 10th street and Piedmont in the heart of Midtown.

The next stop on my After Work Hotspot Tour was STK. Now although I’ve never gone for dinner, I’ve been there on numerous occasions after work or for events. Because of that, I thought it was important to also include STK on my list of go-to places after work, not only for its awesome Midtown location but the ambiance as well. It’s modern yet urban and sexy, the music is always great, the bartenders (who are also hot lol) serve up some of the best cocktails and the B.A.D.A.S.S. menu featuring $7 small bites and $7 Belvedere Vodka drinks are to die. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved to visit different restaurants for “Happy Hour” right after work. Meeting up with friends, having a glass of wine or a cocktail and just decompressing from an extremely busy day is always enjoyable. Now that the Winter weather seems to be behind us, my friend and fellow food blogger Erica Smith who has the blog, A Taste Of Our City and I, decided to collaborate on a tour of Atlanta highlighting some of the best places to visit after work.
The first stop on our tour was Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar. Erica and I both have been here on numerous occasions, so it was a must that we include it in the list.
