So I definitely had a busy weekend last week. Both Erica and I had a pretty full day of drinking. After attending The Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival earlier in the day, later that evening we headed over to the Delta Museum for Hop’s in the Hangar. Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival 2015

The Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival 2015 was last weekend so one of my foodie besties Erica from A Taste Of Our City, put on some warm clothes and headed out to Atlantic Station for the day. This was my first year in attendance, so I had no clue what to expect. It was a bit chilly that day, somewhere in the 50 degree area, but the wind was blowing so it definitely felt much colder than it really was. Location: Atlantic Station Grounds

Date/Time: Saturday, February 28th, 2015 from Noon-6pm

What can you expect at this years Beer, Bourbon and BBQ?

  • Over 60 craft beers, 40 styles of bourbon and lots of Southern style BBQ from Pit Masters. Some of the BBQ dishes will include pulled pork from whole hogs, ribs, brisket, chicken and sausages.
  • Seminars throughout the day in the Tasting Theatre with Master Distillers and Pit Masters held hourly and are FREE with entry into the festival.
  • Live music from Holy Ghost Tent Revival, Men in Blues and 3AM Tokyo.
  • Guests can also participate in competitions such as Drink Like a Lady Competition, the Bacon Eating Competition and the returning Atlanta’s Best Beer Belly Competition.
  • Show exhibits including Brewerania, Hot Sauces, BBQ, accessories and a cigar area.Guests will also enjoy taking the BBQ Sauce Challenge, visiting The High End Bourbon Tasting Table along with other surprises.

What are the costs of tickets?

VIP $85

  • Entry into the festival at Noon.
  • Includes a souvenir tasting glass,
  • Unlimited sampling of beer and bourbon
  • Live entertainment
  • Noon to 6pm.  VIP Bacon and Whole Hog Session with an exclusive tasting experience in the VIP Area (VIP Area closes at 5pm).
  • 10+ Tasting Stations featuring gourmet bacon from all over the country and local restaurants serving up their favorite bacon dishes. (From Noon – 2pm Only)

General Admission $35 Advance/$45 At the Entrance

  • Saturday 2pm – 6pm
  • Includes a souvenir tasting glass,
  • Unlimited sampling of beer and bourbon
  • Live entertainment

Designated Driver Tickets $29 in advance/online and at the entrance

  • Valid Noon-6pm. Includes admission into the event only. This ticket cannot enter the VIP areas.

Happily Eating and Drinking with Piece of Cake, Christophe’s To Go and Second Self Beer

When the email came through my inbox about a fun-filled evening of sweets and food at Piece of Cake I was so excited! Piece of Cake has always been one of my go to bakeries in Atlanta. I wasn’t sure what to expect exactly, but I knew the evening would be something special. In addition to the tasting from Piece of Cake, we were also going to try dishes from Christophe’s To Go .
