An Evening With Veuve Clicquot

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to attend an evening with my fav champagne Veuve Clicquot, when its En Route truck made its way to Atlanta and stopped at one of Midtown’s top restaurants STK for evening of champs, music, and gourmet bites created by Executive Chef Mark Alba. In addition to that, there was a super cool photo booth, games and giveaways. You could also send letters and postcards to friends and fam hand written by a super talented calligrapher.

The best part of the evening of course was the champs! There were specials all night that included “Veuve on the Clock” where from 6 p.m. to 6:59 p.m. you could indulge in Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Non-Vintage Rosé for $6; from 7 p.m. to 7:59 p.m. for just $7 and so on until the clock hit 9 p.m. If you decided to stay for dinner you were given 15% off your bill thanks to STK.

It was truly an amazing evening and I really enjoyed catching up with friends while sipping champs. Every event I attend at STK never disappoints. The truck is making its way around the country so be on the lookout, it could be hitting your city next! 🙂

Brunch at Lure Midtown + 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage {Car Review}

Anglers Breakfast

*Photo compliments of Jehan

To kick off my birthday, which was October 16th :), I gathered a couple of girlfriends, Jehan from Jehan Can Cook and Alexis, for a pre-birthday brunch at Lure in Midtown. Lure has been on my list for some time and I thought brunch would be the perfect way to see what they had to offer, since we all know that I am on the hunt for great brunch offerings in the city.

In addition to visiting Lure, I also had the opportunity to test drive the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage for a week. More about that after brunch…

Happily Eating 2-year Anniversary {Photo Diary}

September marked the 2-year anniversary of Happily Eating and I thought I would take a moment to reflect on this past year. When I started the blog in 2013, I did it to have an outlet as I was going through such a difficult time. Little did I know what was on the horizon for me. I received an overwhelming amount of love and support from friends, family and people I didn’t know. As I reached one year with the site, I wanted to meet other like-minded people and explore more of Atlanta’s culinary scene. I got exactly what I asked for and more. Look at God! Lol. I have met so many amazing people, attended some pretty awesome events, tried numerous restaurants and have recently transitioned into doing some travel blogging. Let’s take a walk down memory lane to see some of the highlights of this past year and how much better my pictures have gotten lol 🙂

Midtown Atlanta Restaurant 10th and Piedmont Launches New Menu Items!

Phyllo Bites

Phyllo Bites

If you remember, I featured 10th and Piedmont a few months back as a go-to place after work. They have since launched some new menu items and I was fortunate enough to come in and try a few of them. Among the newcomers to the menu, is the Phyllo Bites made with house smoked salmon, topped  with pickled red onions, fresh cilantro, fresh jalapeno, queso fresco, lime infused ranch drizzle and crispy corn tortilla strips. These little bites make for a perfect snack when meeting someone for cocktails or if you don’t want to have a heavy appetizer. The smoked salmon was good and although you had the fresh jalapeno, the dish wasn’t spicy at all.
